The Art of Polish:

Our Story

I have been a licensed nail technician in Portland, Maine's Old Port for over twenty years. As a native Mainer, I love the Portland community and cherish the amazing connections I've made with people like you. Over the years, I've gained extensive industry experience and knowledge, guided by the incredible relationships I've built along the way. I am passionate about doing nails and revel in the ever-evolving art and design aspects of nail artistry. I find immense joy in the transformative power of nail enhancements and love helping clients feel their best through my work. Seeing the positive impact on clients when they look good and feel better is incredibly rewarding.

I am excited for this new endeavor of opening Polish. My goal is to build up the nail community and help other nail artists develop long, sustainable careers. After years of working as a nail technician, I've come to deeply understand the challenges and aspirations of those in the industry. My decision to open Polish stems from a desire to create a different kind of workplace - one where technicians are not just employees but valued professionals with rewarding careers.

In an industry where benefits like medical coverage, paid time off, education, training, and retirement plans are often scarce, I want to change that narrative. I believe that providing these benefits is essential in attracting talented employees and ensuring the well-being and longevity of our team. I am committed to creating a supportive environment where technicians can thrive, grow, and build lasting careers. My aim is to make a positive impact on our employees' well-being and set a new standard for the nail and beauty industry, while also contributing positively to our community.
